The ZED 4‑Bus series takes inspiration from multiple Allen & Heath product lines, combining proven designs with fresh ideas to deliver outstanding results in a compact, easy‑to‑use package.
The padless DuoPre™ mic/line preamp, first introduced on the ZED‑14, delivers a high‑headroom, low‑noise signal. The 4‑band, 2‑sweep EQ and low‑noise summing amps are derived from the acclaimed GL2400, while the bus architecture is a simplified but powerful version of that used in the GL Series.
The USB audio interface offers flexible routing, allowing different signals to be sent to USB from LR or selected aux buses. The USB return can be routed directly to the LR mix or to a stereo channel. All connectors are placed on the top panel for easy access, and the construction — with individual circuit boards firmly nutted to the top panel — is as solid as Allen & Heath’s top‑tier ML Series mixers.
The ZED 4‑Bus series is available in three configurations: 16 mono + 2 stereo (ZED‑420), 24 + 2 (ZED‑428) and 32 + 2 (ZED‑436).
Also included is SONAR LE for Windows, offering audio and MIDI multi‑track recording, mixing, effects plug‑ins and editing tools — enabling the ZED 4‑Bus mixers to function as live or home recording consoles.

For orders under $50, options are Standard Postage $11.00 or Express Shipping for $19.50. Orders over $1,000 ship for free*. Express Shipping covers one delivery attempt, so please provide an address where someone is available to sign for courier delivery between 9 am and 5 pm weekdays. You can instruct us to ask the courier to leave your parcel unattended in a safe place, although please be aware that if anything happens to the parcel, neither we nor the courier company can be held responsible. Work addresses are a great delivery option. If using a work address, please include the business's name.
