Texas Sun is the acclaimed collaborative EP from genre-defying Texas trio Khruangbin and Grammy-nominated soul singer Leon Bridges. Released in 2020, the project blends Khruangbin's signature psychedelic grooves with Bridges' smooth, timeless vocals, creating a warm and atmospheric collection inspired by the landscapes, culture and spirit of their home state.
Across four beautifully crafted tracks, Texas Sun evokes open roads, late-night drives and wide-open horizons. The title track "Texas Sun" became an instant fan favourite, while "Midnight", "C-Side" and "Conversion" further showcase the effortless chemistry between the two artists. Combining elements of soul, funk, indie rock, country and psychedelic music, the EP captures the essence of modern Texas music through a uniquely laid-back lens.
Released via Dead Oceans, Texas Sun is an essential addition for fans of Khruangbin, Leon Bridges and anyone seeking a relaxed, soulful soundtrack for the journey ahead.
